Jim Egleson's was born in the 1920's and was a printmaker, painter, and science illustrator. He studied engineering at Swarthnore College and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He served in WW2 joining the Navy and was a Naval Officer engineer on the USS Saratoga and became an emergency medic when the ship was attacked which he later drew sketches of. His prints are now in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the New York Public Library.
