Description
He was a painter, graphic artist, and politician. While Governor of the State of Jalisco, he founded the Centro de Artistas in Guadalajara in 1919 and organized the Congress of Soldier Artists with the help of Siqueiros and others to investigate new directions in art and culture. The two organizations brought about a short-lived artistic renaissance in Guadalajara. Shortly thereafter Zuno was overthrown as governor. In the 1920s he helped found an artists' group in Guadalajara called Bohemia, and in 1953 he wrote the book 'Las artes plásticas en Jalisco'.
